Saving Goal

Chris and I have started to get a teeny bit serious about making music - giving the band thing a go, which is awesome. It will be really good for me - give me some more confidence, especially once we start performing (a way off at this point, but hopefully in the future). I want to save for a Gretsch guitar - about $1600, but at Allen's Music you can pay it off in installments. The first installment is 50%, so I'd have to save about $800. This is my goal, and it's a long way off so far, but I think I'll start keeping it in mind. Hopefully it will inspire me to cut back a little on my spending and put money away.

Easily, I could just wait until June and get my tax done, using the refund for the entire purchase. Or I could use my government bonus for the down payment. These are all options of course, but I think I want to try to save up at least some of the cash. The money I get back from those two things can be put aside towards accessories and also towards moving expenses - another thing I want to do as soon as we can afford it. And of course, there is always my credit card waiting to be paid off... Once I get it down to 10k, I think I'll stop stressing so much about it. I'm doing well, but I have to keep this ethic to pay it off up.
