The week so far

Well, wow, I've had a fantastic week in terms of sticking to the budget. So far I've made it through 3 out of 4 no spend days successfully, I've changed super funds, I've updated my GE address and I haven't dipped into my savings account at all. Aren't you impressed? I'm beaming with pride. It's not that hard just putting a stop to ruthless and pointless spending. Giving myself access to less money also means I am thinking a lot more seriously about what I want to spend that little amount on. Pointless and poor quality things are out. I'd rather get something more expensive than have an item break soon after purchase. Technically there's only one more day until pay day. Hooray! This week has been a tough start, considering I haven 't had a cent to my name since sunday. Next week should be a tad easier, and I'll be able to enjoy a few small luxuries - like small hot chocolates - here and there if I choose to.

I think this system is going to work for me in the long run. I'm proud of myself for finding a successful and simple way of budgeting my money and for finally taking the steps required to dig myself out of this hole.
